About Us

Aftercare has been providing support and stability for transition-age youth since 2002. The network of eight private agencies offers services to young adults ages 18 – 23 throughout Iowa.

The Iowa Aftercare Services Network (IASN) provides services statewide to eligible youth ages 18 to 23 who have aged out of foster care or other court-ordered placements. Young people participate voluntarily. Aftercare is designed to help participants make the connections and develop the skills they need to successfully transition to adulthood.

Aftercare’s Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) component provides monthly financial support to qualifying youth who are working or pursuing education or training.

Coverage Areas by County

The Iowa Aftercare Services Network (IASN) includes eight direct service providers.  Services reach every corner of the state, covering all 99 counties.

Ever since I’ve been in the program my advocates have gone above and beyond to give me a lending hand and make sure I’m prepared for some of the biggest things in my life. I appreciate them and this program so much!
